A Culinary Journey with Weston Green School’s Pre Prep Children
Weston Green School is thrilled to share a delightful 2 minute Glimpse into video showcasing our Pre Prep children’s culinary adventures. This year, our youngest children have explored the joy of cooking, making a variety of fun and delicious dishes.
Cheesy Bites: A Class Favourite
One of the highlights of our cooking sessions has been the creation of cheesy bites. These savoury treats have become a favourite among the children, who love rolling and shaping the dough, honing their fine motor skills before adding a generous helping of cheese.
Fresh and Healthy Summer Rolls
Our budding chefs have also mastered the art of making summer rolls. These fresh and healthy snacks are not only delicious but also provide a hands-on learning experience as the children wrap colourful vegetables in delicate rice paper, emphasising teamwork and precision.
Fun with Pinwheel Sandwiches
Pinwheel sandwiches have brought an element of creativity to our cooking lessons. The children enjoy spreading fillings and rolling the sandwiches into delightful pinwheels, perfect for a tasty and visually appealing snack, all while practicing their fine motor skills.
Baking Fresh Bread
Nothing beats the aroma of freshly baked bread. Our pre-prep children have had a wonderful time learning how to mix, knead, and bake bread, using teamwork to mix ingredients and fine motor skills to knead the dough, creating loaves that are as delicious as they are satisfying to make.
