Year 3 Netball Team Shines in First Fixture Against Ewell Castle

Last week, our Year 3 girls took to the court for their first-ever netball fixture against Ewell Castle, marking an exciting milestone for Weston Green School. Naturally, the girls were a little nervous before the game, but these quickly faded once the match began. Demonstrating excellent passing, movement, and teamwork, they played with enthusiasm and skill, showing impressive coordination for their first match. The game was a wonderful opportunity to build confidence and showcase the netball skills they’ve been developing.

The highlight of their day wasn’t just the thrill of the match itself, but also enjoying a delicious chocolate brownie for match tea, which was the perfect way to celebrate their debut! We extend our heartfelt thanks to Ewell Castle Prep School for hosting this friendly and enjoyable fixture, and we look forward to many more matches to come!

Year 5 and 6 Impress at Epsom College Cross Country Event

Meanwhile, our Year 5 and 6 pupils took part in the annual prep school cross-country event at Epsom College. With over 30 prep schools and nearly 600 competitors, this event was a true test of endurance and athleticism. Our Weston Green athletes showed incredible grit and determination, competing fiercely in a well organised and challenging race. We’re proud to announce that several of our runners finished in the top 20, with a special congratulations to our overall winner in the U11 girls category.
