Action-Packed Residential at Henley Fort

Posted: 25th September 2024

Yesterday we welcomed back our Year 3 children who had an unforgettable experience during their residential trip to Henley Fort. Despite some rainy weather, they embraced the elements and took part in a range of exciting outdoor activities that pushed them out of their comfort zones and encouraged teamwork, resilience, and personal growth.

Challenging Activities

Over the course of two days, the children took part in rock climbing, archery, den building, and obstacle courses, with each activity presenting its own unique set of challenges. One of the most exciting parts of the trip was fire lighting, where the pupils learned essential survival skills. Through these experiences, they had the opportunity to face their fears, develop their confidence, and foster a sense of adventure.

Demonstrating our values

We were incredibly proud to see the determination, kindness, and courage displayed by every child throughout the trip. Whether it was encouraging a classmate during a difficult climb or working together to build a sturdy den, the camaraderie and support among the group was inspiring.

This residential not only offered our Year 3 children the chance to develop important life skills but also created memories that will last a lifetime. We look forward to seeing them apply the lessons learned from Henley Fort in their school lives and beyond.
