About the WGSPA
Founded in 2012, the Weston Green School Parents’ Association (WGSPA) plays an integral role in building and nurturing the vibrant school community that makes Weston Green School so special. Our mission is to strengthen the bonds among families, staff, and the local community, while also supporting the school through fundraising and events that enhance the experience of all our children.
What We Do
Build a Community
The WGSPA fosters connections both within the school and with the local community. Our small and close-knit community is one of the key features that make Weston Green School unique.
Fundraising
The WGSPA raises funds to provide for the school’s “nice-to-haves,” enhancing both short- and long-term experiences for the children. Past contributions include improvements like the school library, sports equipment, the back-gate lighting, and sponsoring key events such as the leavers’ party and the Upper Prep performance at Esher Theatre. Additionally, we support local charities, with a portion of our funds allocated to causes chosen by the Student Council, who select up to three charities annually.
Events
We organise a variety of events for the children and their families, from purely fun gatherings to those designed to raise funds for the school or charity. These events are a fantastic way to engage with the community, and we welcome and rely on parent volunteers to help make them a success. This year, we aim to encourage more teacher involvement in these events to strengthen the bond between staff and parents.
Parent Voice
Some parents prefer to approach the WGSPA to liaise with the school on their behalf. We are always open to hearing your ideas and addressing any concerns. As a body, we collaborate to discuss and resolve issues that matter to you.

- Children’s pizza and movie night
- Children’s Art Christmas Cards
- New online ticket sales system
- Christmas Fair and raffle
- Mothers day gifts
- Multiple second hand uniform, costume and Christmas jumper sales

Easy Fundraising
We are continuously exploring new ways to support the school and raise funds. One of our latest initiatives is encouraging families to register with Easy Fundraising, a platform that partners with over 7,000 brands. When you shop with these brands, a portion of your spending is donated to the school without any extra cost to you. It’s a simple way to contribute!
We recently hosted the Macmillan Coffee Morning and a Halloween Fancy Dress Sale. All proceeds will support the school and a local charity chosen by the Student Council. We’re also preparing for our next major project to benefit all the children at Weston Green School.
Get Involved
Whether you want to help out at an event, share ideas, or just get to know other parents, the WGSPA welcomes all parents to join. Our regular committee meetings are open to everyone, providing a platform to stay informed, contribute, and be part of shaping the future of our school.
