Lower Prep

In Lower Prep we build upon the solid foundations which have been laid during the Pre Prep experience. We ensure a smooth transition from Pre-Prep into Reception, upholding the ethos of the Early Years Foundation Stage and we continue to build independence and resilience from the children. As they move through Lower Prep, expectations steadily increase enabling a gradual introduction to Upper Prep, the end of the primary curriculum and 11+ preparation.

In addition to developing and deepening understanding and experiences in the core subjects of reading, writing and mathematics, our curriculum is enriched with a wide range of activities and experiences. During Lower Prep, children are introduced to more subject specialists including computing, drama and art in addition to the French, sport, yoga and music they experience during their Pre Prep education.
